If the identification is correct, they have chosen a target far bigger and stronger than the prey cheetahs usually hunt. The cheetahs rely on their speed, timing, and teamwork, while their powerful target uses its size, strength, and agility to escape. With such a big difference in size, this is certainly not an easy hunt. In the wild, every second and every decision can make the difference between success and failure.
