@chefshannonsmith: My favorite things, all gathered around one table. For this dinner, every detail had a story. Tablecloths collected on my travels, my grandmother’s napkin rings, my aunt’s silverware, dishes from around the world, and recipes tied to people and memories I love. From nachos (because they’ll always be my favorite) to my mom’s pot roast, fried chicken, and Wanda’s peach salad, this menu was a little collection of the places I’ve been, the people I love, and the things I’ve held onto along the way. Turns out, my favorite things aren’t really things at all. They’re the stories attached to them.
