@brittanyalaine: There’s one thing about Germany that completely changed how I live everyday life. Walking, spazieren, isn’t treated like a workout. In the U.S., walking always felt tied to exercise, steps, losing weight, or “being healthy.” But in Germany, it feels way more woven into everyday life. You walk after dinner. You walk to get fresh air. You walk to talk. You walk after coffee and cake. You walk because the weather is nice and it feels good to be outside. Long walks with the family. On Sunday. Christmas. ☺️ And honestly, I’ve grown to really love that mindset shift. I also appreciate how EASY Germany makes it to enjoy walking, countryside cafés with trails nearby, forest paths everywhere, cities where being outside actually feels pleasant. This little café had amazing coffee and cake, but the walk afterwards honestly felt just as important as the café itself. Where's your favorite place to go for a walk? ••••••• Hi, I’m Brittany 👋 A U.S. immigrant and now German citizen living in Germany sharing what life abroad is really like — the good, the bad, the awkward, and the beautiful. #Germany #LifeInGermany #AmericanInGermany #GermanCulture LivingAbroad GermanyTravel SlowLiving GermanLife EverydayGermany CafeCulture
