@madisoncook00: 🍒 Easy Cherry Turnovers These easy cherry turnovers are made with just a few simple ingredients and are perfect for a quick homemade treat! Ingredients * Puff pastry, thawed * 1 can cherry pie filling * 1 egg, for egg wash * ½ cup powdered sugar * 1 tablespoon milk or water * Splash of vanilla extract Instructions 1. Prepare the puff pastry: Thaw your puff pastry according to the package directions. Cut the pastry into even squares. 2. Add the filling: Place about 1 spoonful of cherry pie filling in the center of each square. Be careful not to overfill them! 3. Seal the turnovers: Fold the pastry over the filling to create a triangle. Press around the edges, then use a fork to crimp and seal the edges. 4. Add the egg wash: Beat one egg and brush it over the outside of each turnover. You don’t have to add egg wash inside the pastry, but you can if you prefer. 5. Bake: Place the turnovers on a lined baking sheet and bake in a 400°F convection oven for about 20 minutes, or until they’re puffed up and golden brown. 6. Make the icing: Mix ½ cup powdered sugar with about 1 tablespoon of milk or water and a splash of vanilla. Add more powdered sugar as needed until you reach your preferred consistency. I like my icing a little thicker, so I add extra powdered sugar. 7. Drizzle and enjoy: Let the turnovers cool slightly, then drizzle the icing over the top. Enjoy! 🍒 #sweettreat#baking#Recipe#EasyRecipe#sweettooth
