When I first started selling my essays and doing admissions coaching, a lot of people thought I was crazy, especially since i didn’t get into Columbia on my first try… But what people don’t realize is that when I first applied I was 16, had no guidance, and knew next to nothing about applying to college; I didn’t even start my college applications until Christmas break of my senior year and only applied to 2 Ivy League Schools at that time. When I got waitlisted and ultimately rejected I spent the next year of my life beating myself ups everyday for not getting in, for wasting potential, for letting myself down.
