#stitch with @mrrr.leflore Teachers do NOT have to be thin, fit, or look a certain way to deserve respect. Many teachers work 10–12 hour days. Some work second jobs just to pay the bills. Some barely have time to eat, let alone spend an hour at the gym. And let’s not forget the countless teachers living with medical conditions, chronic pain, disabilities, or medications that affect their weight. Teaching children that it’s okay to disrespect a teacher because of their body is not “honesty” or “self-love.” It’s bullying. And let’s be real… we have bigger issues to address. We have preschool classrooms where teachers are dealing with children throwing chairs, calling teachers names, stealing, and even situations where a 6-year-old brought a gun and shot a teacher. These are not problems caused by a teacher’s body size. These are parenting, behavior, boundaries, and respect issues that require attention. A teacher’s weight does not determine their ability to teach, love, guide, and inspire children. A person’s appearance does not define their worth or her classroom management! Respect should be based on a person’s character, the way they treat others, and the work they do—not the number on a scale. Stop disguising body shaming as “motivation” or “confidence.” Kids are always watching, and what they learn from adults matters. Let’s teach kindness, empathy, accountability, and respect for ALL people, regardless of their size, shape, or appearance. #R#RespectTeachersS#StopBodyShamingT#TeacherLifeKindnessMatters
