In my opinion its completely understandable that Brooks would need that to go through his agent. The issue I have is with how he handled it. He was clearly ignoring Shai for a while and then when he finally said no, he blamed it on the agent excuse. If he actually ever considered modeling for Shai, he would’ve said that he would ask his agent about it. So yes, Brooks was not direct at all in this situation.
