My mom wanted chickens. I got her chickens. I buy feed and prepare fresh veggies/fruits for the chickens. I feed and water the chickens. I collect, clean and prepare the eggs that I don’t give away. I shovel chicken sht daily. I pet chickens multiple times a day. What does my mom do? Nothing. She doesn’t even speak when she passes their run. I love the chickens but not the work. Grocery store eggs are astronomically cheaper than farm fresh. But they are gross compared to fresh. So here I am…shoveling sht everyday.
