I hate to be a pedant, but that's Akkadian, the language of the Babylonians, not Sumerian. Akkadian is younger than Sumerian and its writing system was largely based on Sumerian, but they're actually linguistically unrelated. 😄

OMG! This should be an a03! The archeology student reads the A03s in ancient Sumerian for practice...but then really connects with one of the authors...who turns out to be a ghost from way back when, and who casts a spell to transmigrate the archeology student to ancient Mesopotamia, and they fall in love. Bonus points if it's BL or sapphic ❤️❤️❤️
