the amount of so-called “petting zoos” popping up around the country is genuinely concerning. i’ve literally seen a full-grown goat shoved into a tiny cat-sized cage, barely having enough space to stand, let alone move properly. and this was at a primary school event, where children are being taught that this is normal and acceptable. animals aren’t props for entertainment. no matter how “mild” it looks, mistreatment is still mistreatment, and abuse is still abuse.
