mine somehow gets his ears in his bowl, then i have to pick him up and dry them off ( he also does it when he’s hot so i leave it in those instances)

I just got a new bunny and she LOVES water lol. She does the same thing when I first set it down every time. It’s so cute. Meanwhile my other bun is more of a grazer and some days I have to make sure he’s drinking enough 😅

Just because a rabbit drinks a lot, it doesn't necessarily mean it's a good thing. Rabbits are animals that thrive on fresh food; they generally obtain most of their hydration from fresh items like lettuce, cucumber, cabbage, meadow greens, and so on. Yes, they should have a water bowl available in their enclosure 24/7, and they do drink occasionally. However, if a rabbit is constantly hovering over the water bowl, you should have a knowledgeable veterinarian examine it. Often, there is an underlying issue that isn't visible to the naked eye, and the rabbit is trying to compensate for it by drinking—an attempt that ultimately cannot succeed. In such cases, the situation can actually become fatal for the animal.
