@dayonetherapy: Did she marry a man of God… or his unhealed trauma? 👀 If you watched Death of the Pastor’s Wife on Netflix, you probably need a debrief. As a trauma therapist, one thing stood out to me: a pulpit does not make a man healed. A title does not make a man safe. And a wife cannot heal trauma a man refuses to address. The documentary contains deeply disturbing allegations of coercion, control and abuse—and raises a bigger question for the church: When does protecting the leader become more important than protecting the people being led? Men, get healed before you lead. Get healed before your wife and family become casualties of wounds you refuse to address. And YES… he’s reportedly still preaching and is now married to his third wife, who leads worship with him. Chile… that’s a WHOLE other reel. 👀 Should churches require pastors to step down when serious allegations and unhealthy behavior surface—or can someone still effectively lead while dealing with their own dysfunction? 👇🏽 #DeathOfThePastorsWife #MicaMiller #UnhealedTrauma #ChurchTrauma #ReligiousTrauma
👀 Let’s talk: Should a pastor be required to STEP DOWN when serious allegations about his behavior and marriage surface—even if nothing has been proven in court yet? Or should he be allowed to keep preaching?
Church folks, therapists AND everybody else… I want to hear your take. 👇🏽
