Can the judge decide? Like I’ve seen where a judge doesn’t accept a verdict (JNOV) but instead of a mistrial, can it be handled as if the jury had one and judge doesn’t accept.

People are very passionate about this case. All it takes is one person to not agree with the group, I personally feel like we are likely heading towards a hung jury. But, hopefully Im wrong so Lindsay doesn’t have to go through this again (would she have to go through with that again if there is a hung jury, can they do another trial? I am not sure how this works I am an engineer not a law professional)
