I'm a truck driver. Fuel hauler to be exact. I slept out 5 nights a week. 70 hour weeks. Lately with fire season 100+ hour weeks with 26 hour days. I get you. I quit my job two weeks ago when my boss wouldn't tell me if the load he was giving me an exempt fire load or a regular commerce load. He insisted that every load was a fire load. I parked the truck. Cleaned my shit out. The first week of being home I slept sooooo much. My body needed it I feel so much better I can think clearly eating better. Exercising. Trucking is hard people don't realize what truck drivers do and the shit pay to do it. I'm in Seattle WA. My partner and I have a spare room and a shower if you need it.

i woke up crying today also. its intense even having a home knowing it is all probably gonna be gone very soon. id much rather be closer to having to survive than being in survival mode STILL when i no longer have to. but will eventually have to again. like i get it.
