@emilygiffinauthor: The Lindsay Clancy jury deliberations are playing out just as I thought they would. The jury can’t come to a decision. The judge said try harder. #lindsayclancytrial #lindsayclancy #reddington #juryduty #murdertrial

It’s so weird to me that the judge can just be like go back try again. Seems like they are pressuring someone to just give up so they can go home.

I don't think it's that, I think it's that there are no fingerprints on the weapon

Question : would a hung jury be better than NG by insanity?

Are people forgetting that in her malpractice lawsuit she says she did it lol like she details how she did it. I’m so confused about how people think she didn’t do it. You can look at her filing, it’s online. Literally just google it.

I feel they may be deciding if it’s a serious suicide attempt or a homicide that was never investigated properly

Do you still think they are going to compromise on manslaughter?

I think a lot about your story about Bill and Gill and agree that in that situation, another jury might have found him guilty without Gill’s perspective. In this case, I feel like any other jury will have been so saturated with media coverage and conspiracy theories it would be really tough to get a fair trial anymore. Yet the act was so egregious that it totally makes sense that people would feel strongly one way or another either because of evidence or personal convictions. I was hoping that she would be found not guilty because of mental health. Re-trying this case would be so messy.

Do you think the jury is confused because it could be Patrick?

Also, she literally coded. She would have died without medical intervention. It was a serious attempt.

You were right it’s hung I thought it would be not guilty by reason of insanity.

Should this go to retrial will the testimony from this trial be thrown out? Can it be referred to?

She does not belong in prison! I also don't want her to have to sit through a whole new trial.

This may be sooooo optimistic of me, but I’m hoping the group is torn between not guilty and guilty but not criminally responsible. Like…no one could listen to all those witnesses and think she’s just straight guilty, right!? Also would love your thoughts on Mass. and why they seem to have so many poorly investigated or straight up scandal cases recently…(karen reed, the lab tech and all those thrown out drug conviction, and now this that was barely investigated and one of the DAs bought the Clancy house)

I had this happen personally as a juror on a murder trial in Atlanta. It’s so hard . I sincerely hope they are truly looking closely at everything . I feel for the jury and obviously everyone involved.

You’re right that in general you don’t need suicide to prove insanity, but you do in this case because it goes to her credibility. If they don’t beleive it’s a serious suicide attempt then it’s hard to beleive the rest of her testimony, which is crucial to her defense.

But she also said that the man’s voice said you’ve gotta kill your kids and then kill yourself. So maybe that’s what the hangup is that if she didn’t truly try to kill herself too then the whole story of the man’s voice was made up.

This goes to Friday. The judge failed- the case is huge- they're doing 1/2 -3/4 days, the jury is not sequestered, you can't tell me that not ONE of them didnt look at their social media plats. An acquittal can't happen. She admitted guilt and before opening the judge on the record read her her the amendments on the record. As to your opinion; I disagree. We have 3 caskets, 3 children and a woman who threw herself from a 2nd story window, a nurse who slit her wrist horizontally, an alleged slice to the throat. All superficial. She heard a voice but, knew to ask for an attorney. 3 children deceased, knows enough not to talk to the police, diluted the pills, called the husband. Worse was she chased the oldest to the basement.
