I don’t even care about men and dating. It’s also in friendship or family…. That’s the real issue to not be chosen. In friendships you function with family there is neglect.

I think that’s an oversimplification. Humans are biologically wired to desire partnership. You can do the work, love yourself, and still end up feeling some type of way when you’re never chosen.

Ever see the before & after photos of Dog who finally got adopted from the pound? Being chosen changes your energy. How would the dog ever feel worthy if all the other dogs get chosen and they don’t. They won’t even wag their tails anymore or eat food. The pain of no one wanting to love them is a devastating, the same is true for humans

This is such an oversimplification. You can love yourself entirely and still not fill the void of romantic love. The same way romantic love can't fill the void of absent parental love. They're different types of love and it is a human need to have them.

Yep 47 and never seem good enough. Not just relationships. Friendships too - no one remembers I exist. Unless they want a lift somewhere then I’m invited - but I get asked if I can drive them a few days later.

Exactly! Everyone needs acceptance and if your inner worth depends on someone choosing you imagine what kind of power you give to that person. They can make you feel worthless and many other bad things
