READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING 👇 I know I sell a trading course myself, so yes, you could say I’m biased. But my opinion on courses actually comes from being a student first. When I first started trading, I spent around 8 months trying to figure everything out by myself. YouTube video after YouTube video, learning random concepts from different people, then trying to somehow piece everything together into one strategy. And honestly, the moment trading actually started to click for me was when I finally joined a community and took a course that gave me a structured, mechanical approach. Could I have eventually figured it all out for free? Probably. But how much is your time worth? The months I spent trying to put everything together myself were months I could’ve spent actually practicing and improving if I had just invested in the right education from the beginning. And I think that’s the distinction people miss when they say “courses are scams.” A course isn’t automatically valuable just because someone charges money for it. There are absolutely overpriced courses out there, especially ones marketed around “this will change your life”, unrealistic income expectations, or selling a dream instead of actually teaching. I’m completely against that. Even with my own course, my priority has always been education first. It’s lifetime access, I purposely keep it affordable compared to the amount of content and support inside, and I’d rather continuously add value than charge an insane amount just because I can. I genuinely love teaching. It’s literally one of the reasons I’m studying finance, economics and math at university, I want to eventually teach, and I also want to bring everything I learn back into the education I already provide. So yes, I sell a course. Take my opinion with that context. But I’m also still a student myself. I literally bought a DJing course recently. In less than a week, I learned the fundamentals of my controller, how to structure sets, how transitions work, and enough of the basics to actually start practicing properly. Could I have searched every single thing individually on YouTube? Of course. But instead, I paid someone who already knew what they were doing to organize that knowledge for me and shorten my learning curve. THAT is what a good course should do. You’re not paying someone because the information is impossible to find for free. You’re paying for structure, experience, guidance, and TIME. So when I say courses aren’t scams, I’m not saying every course is worth buying. I’m saying: learn who you’re buying from. Look at their intentions. Look at what they actually teach. Look at whether they care about your education after they’ve received your payment. The best educators, in my experience, are the ones who are obsessed with actually teaching, not just maximizing how much money they can extract from their audience. At the end of the day, you can absolutely learn everything yourself. If you’d rather spend a year figuring something out instead of spending $500 to potentially shorten that learning curve, that’s completely your choice.
