I think the main reason behind DLSS 5 hate is simply that the majority of people on this app can only think in absolutes. They complain about FPS drops or “ruining the art” and completely disregard that this is alpha software that will only become more optimized and better looking once it’s properly implemented by developers. People hear AI and critical thinking goes out the window. It’s sad, really.

Thing is is that’s already a really good background and lighting built into the map, but then the shader sees the sky not being separate from the actual map so it just adds like a very thin layer of realistic lighting correction blending the two together
