I’ve heard some pretty bad takes, but this one is up there. You’re trying to argue that Paige Bueckers is the better *pure point guard* than Caitlin Clark, while simultaneously saying Clark needs to be the player getting set up—even though a huge portion of Clark’s scoring comes from creating for herself. Honestly, your argument would’ve made much more sense if you advocated for Paige at the 2. Paige is lethal coming off screens and arguably has one of the best mid-range games in the league, especially off catch and shoot. If the goal is to put each player in the position that maximizes their strengths as you said, Caitlin running the point and creating, with Paige at the 2 attacking off screens would be the logical answer. Caitlin is arguably the best passer in the league, and Paige is one of the most dangerous mid-range scorers. That makes far more sense than trying to force Caitlin off the ball.

Tbh I don’t even think you hate Caitlin I really just think this is a bad sports take. Paige is a shooting Guard, she moves like a SG and plays like SG. Also Caitlin is not limited in her dribbling she doesn’t do much because most of the time she’s being guarded real close, so she can’t go between legs or behind the back all the time wouldn’t be smart. Also with her TOs it’s high risk high reward, Caitlin makes passes only a few can make she’s going to take the risky pass the reward is she’s going lead the league in assist. This is just a horrible take. I need Paige coming of pin downs in the mid range because I know it’s money every time

What is a turnover? If I throw a PERFECT pass to you and you miss it, who gets the turnover? Also, I would take 6-7 turnovers per game to have her running point for the other things she does
