in legends za ranked it was a monster. in champions, i think it will be completely ignored due to the meta. its gonna struggle and charizard and floette which are quite common

I think Farigiraf/Tsareena would be the better partner to prevent Kingambits Sucker Punch. Indeedees terrain can easily be reset by Rillaboom and there certainly are cases where Absol could run Sucker Punch/Shadow Sneak itself as an anti Scarf/TrickRoom/Tailwind tool. Also I don't think Absols gameplan is as straight forward as you say. It could easily run Icy Wind/Will-O on its fourth slot as some kind of utility.

ahh, yes the anti-shadow rider. 1 stat point faster, immune to fake out, sucker punch, double 4× super effective stab, and a high crit chance ability boosted move in each stab. as a d1 calyrex hater, I approve

absol i think could be good in singles but ik it didn’t get much usage in the za fan formats, garchomp again has been cursed by the megas being worse than lorb chomp, lucario could be really interesting tho w calm mind sets w solid amount of bulk investment

I need indeedee, trick room expanding force set ups are my fav in the game and it’s so clunky trying to run it without setup on entry ;-; I resorted to meowstick but it’s so much slower to set up manually that I’m just run over 😩

Counterpoint, it doesn’t OHKO incinaroar with CC even without intimidate and Incinaroar does OHKO it. We also know rillaboom is going to be coming to the format and that means the rillaboom Incinaroar core will be at large again meaning Incinaroar will be a lot more common.
