Absolutely horrible! She was choking and told so many adults. Their responses in time lapse was unacceptable and just negligent she should be alive today. So heartbreaking!

The staff failed your daughter!!! Charges should be pressed against that staff member who clearly saw your daughter choking and tapped her on the back acting like nothing is wrong. Choking is silent. Rule #1 of learning the Heimlich is a cough is not choking. It’s when the person can’t cough can’t speak and can’t breathe that they are clearly choking. It was absolutely amazing your daughter was even able to run to get help!! I am so sorry your beautiful baby girl was taken. I hope justice is brought forward for her!!!

I’m 38 years out from my loss of my daughter and what I can tell you is it does get easier. It’s never easy and it never goes away. Time heals only because our brains are wired to push painful memories back. It’s a self preservation mechanism that happens automatically for most of us and as time goes bye we realize that there are more happy days than sad.
