I’m new too, ridden dirt bikes and quads all my life. This is my first street bike, been riding a lot alone. But went for a ride with some guys from work the other day, they made me push myself a little. Made me a lot more confident, learned a lot of things I was doing wrong when riding alone. Miles seem to help with the confidence, but be smart enough to not ride over your head. I’m still slow, but it still feels awesome riding.
