In front of us is another example of our bespoke service here at Gomila. A client came into our showroom and immediately fell in love with one of our signature monk strap silhouettes. Rather than choosing it exactly as it was, he wanted to personalise every detail to suit his own taste. The upper was a simple decision. He chose a beautiful sand-finished patina that gives the leather a soft, understated character. The sole, however, was where things became interesting. He requested an additional inch of heel height, so we built the heel entirely using stacked leather. He also wanted to move away from our standard sole design, opting instead for a leather sole with a rubber insert and a more rounded profile underneath. Individually, these are small changes. Collectively, they create a shoe that exists for one person and one person only. That's the essence of bespoke, and it's exactly what we specialise in here at Gomila.
