I was in the California Conservation Core at the time. We got there before the World Series resumed. Spent about six weeks up there cleaning up and generally helping out here and there. I came home a Giants fan.

I was about 12 and home alone in San Jose. Nothing really bad happened around me but it scared me so bad that I developed ptsd. I didn’t know it till years later. To this day I still get anxiety over the slightest movement that even feels like a quake. As much as I hate the little ones I wish we had them more. I don’t want to know what’s going to happen when the big one hits.

I was sitting down to watch the game in our house in newark ca. my dad had been in the city early in the morning because of the game. he drove on both collapsed sections of freeway. we were lucky it was a hometown world series or more people would have been on the road.

I was 14, just laid down on my beanbag to watch pregame and boom. Ran out front, light poles swaying, parked vehicles bouncing, dogs water bowl, the water pouring out, it was crazy.

We were all watching the game here in Bakersfield Ca and felt it and saw pieces of the stadium falling and the worse was seeing the Bay Bridge collapse and crushing drivers on there way home from work. It was one of the saddest times in California history

I remember that day,it was hot that day and about to watch the world series and they were showing highlights from the game before and then everything started shaking.i lived up the street from Serramonte mall on gellert.hes cappin tho my sister lives in Sacramento and she didnt feel no earthquake.smh
