Just wait till you can’t remember the right English word for a word you learned in Spanish 😭 I worked at a Mexican restaurant and I got so used to speaking Spanish that I forgot certain words in English

It’s even worse when you know multiple languages and when speaking one- you substitute words you don’t know with words from a completely different language- example: at work I speak Spanish and English. But so many times when I’m speaking Spanish, I’ll try to replace words I don’t know with GERMAN WORDS. NOT ENGLISH, GERMAN. No one there knows German

I learned Spanish in high school, I traveled to Italy in college and was able to understand quite a bit but not speak it obviously, then I learned French after that and it was easier cause I knew how to deal with verbs better 😅

I'm learning ASL and one of the weirdest things is fingerspelling helps me sound out words better than reading. but i guess it makes sense because I'm dyslexic 😂😂😂
