@draizident: FAKE TOOTHPASTE CAN BE MORE THAN JUST A BAD DEAL. IT CAN BE A HEALTH HAZARD. Can you tell the difference between an original Oral-B toothpaste and a counterfeit one? In this video, I show you some of the things to look out for when buying toothpaste and why you should not ignore suspicious packaging, labelling, smell, texture, or unusually cheap products. One of the reasons this matters is diethylene glycol (DEG). DEG is an industrial chemical that is toxic when swallowed. Exposure can cause serious poisoning, including acute kidney injury, neurological problems, and potentially death. WHO has documented multiple outbreaks involving DEG-contaminated medicines. This is why we cannot treat counterfeit or substandard healthcare products as simply “fake versions” of the original. They can potentially contain substances that were never meant to be in products used by humans. Please don’t just scroll past this. Regulatory authorities need to know what is circulating in the market.
