I hope to hike there later this year. I'm a huge BF1 Player and there is an amazing map and game story line in the campaign that takes place in that exact area of the Dolomites.

I think about the soldiers...like how hard it would have been to dig trenches out of rock. The living conditions (exposed to weather, food, back breaking work, fear) must have been almost unbearable.

So cool! We’ll be visiting to hike in the first week of October - any packing tips for that weather? Already got light layers for the day & thicker layers at night. Do you recommend pants/leggings vs shorts? Travel umbrella? We’re from Texas so we’re used to heat but not so much chilly weather🙂!
