Non-amputees think their lives would be over with amputations. Is it difficult can be but not always. How we feel about our lives going forward is a big part of the trauma recovery we go through after the amputations. I’ve been a double BK for 17 years. I’ve got prosthetics and wheelchair. My life if different not over. Let the haters hate, their opinions matter about as much as what I had for lunch yesterday, what ever it was.

I also am an amputee and work with kids. They ask me if I would want my foot back and I tell them no, because it never worked correctly in the first place and if I got that back then I'd be more limited than I am now. So I am also grateful to be an amputee.
