The non-sport channels content isn’t as good as Netflix shows, being able to watch in real 4k & Dolby Atmos is still a distant dream for Dstv. The local shows on Mzansi Magic do pull in numbers for Dstv though, where Netflix still has a gap.

For rugby, it looks like club rugby will be on the R399 package while Springboks and other international competitions will be on the new cheaper Premium at R799.

I currently pay R299 for compact stream, which has the European football I want. Now it seems like it’ll be migrated into including rugby & cricket (which I do not care for) and i have to cough up an extra R100 a month for? Wow

Dstv should do pay per view for sports. They would make so much more money. Especially now that most people are using streaming and no longer the decoder. Imagine paying let's say R99 to watch the rugby and you only have that one match you wanna watch. I would happily pay
