Thomas Massie on Monday announced another discharge petition for members of Congress to sign regarding the files related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein. “Beginning today, your congressman can sign a discharge petition to force a vote on Epstein Files Transparency Act II,” Massie wrote on the social media platform, X. “EFTA II gives state AGs access to Epstein files required to prosecute perpetrators under state law, and makes it easier for survivors to sue to get their files.” Last year Massie and California Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna were behind the effort to release the Epstein files, resulting in President Donald Trump signing the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Former Attorney General Pam Bondi was criticized on how she handled the first batch of Epstein files and both Massie and Khanna wanted her to be held in contempt of Congress as a result. Epstein was convicted of sex trafficking in 2019, the same year he died in prison. #trump #news #epstein
