Get yourselves a work sharp field sharpener. Best sharpener ive ever used. Once you get confident with it you can take off the diamond stone and sharpen axes, machetes, etc.

never sharpen carry knives to razor sharp they wont hold that edge better to shatpen to a working edge maybe 20°. the stuff you arent using everyday go for razor sharp

If you mark the blade and start at the lowest angle to find the top of the edge then slowly work your way up in degrees you’ll find the exact angle of the knife
