@ninabakerconsulting: How to tell the court your ex is a liar. If you’re dealing with a difficult ex in family court, it can be tempting to say that they are lying, manipulating the situation, or deliberately misleading the court. But labels and emotion-based accusations are unlikely to be as useful as clearly setting out the facts. In this video, I share three ways you can highlight inconsistencies, disputed statements and concerns about what your ex has said to the family court — without simply calling them a liar. The key is to take away the emotion and focus on what can actually be evidenced. Think: • What was said? • What actually happened? • What evidence supports your position? • Where are the inconsistencies? • What does the timeline show? Rather than saying “my ex is a liar”, explain the discrepancy and allow the evidence to speak for itself. This is particularly important in family court cases involving disputed allegations, conflicting accounts, parental disputes and questions about credibility. As a McKenzie friend, my role is to support and assist, not to give legal advice. Every family court case is different, and this content is for general information and discussion only. If you’re navigating family court and struggling with conflicting accounts or allegations, focusing on facts, chronology and evidence can help you present your concerns more clearly. #familylaw #familycourt #law #ExposingALiar #CourtEvidence

How do you do this if it’s your first hearing and no evidence is provided?

I think you’re making it sound very difficult. And to lay person that he’s only just getting involved in this is very difficult. Writing a statement is enough.

I have evidence to disprove the lies, but my solicitor refuses to put this into my statements. I am being silenced so they can prolong the process and keep making money.🙁
