I agree with you, but … on RR and Wattpad the emphasis for LitRPG is on volume not quality. So it’s becoming a defining element of the genre. The medium is the message. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I disagree immensely. Just like you can have a flawed take on tiktok, someone can write a flawed book. The public will decide if it gets farther than a self publish page. For money or not for money. Many of these books showed they have value to people before they every costed anyone else a dime. I can guarantee you have spent more time consuming slop that brought you joy in other mediums than many of these books take you to find out if it isn't for you. The outcome of your suggestion is bullying writers to never start writing or pay to play with getting an editor and force a value proposition of having to get money to pay back the investment in a piece instead of doing for love of the art.
