I literally took law classes in highschool.. we literally had mock trials. We had cases, chose our jury, investigated, questioned witnesses and either won or lost our cases depending on how the jury ruled. It’s so insane to me seeing ppl say stuff like “a hung jury should be not guilty” or “it should go by vote” like are yall serious omg.. the whole point is the evidence MUST convince everyone beyond a reasonable doubt

Had someone try to argue that ”she deserves life IF she did it.” I said, “The fact that you’re saying ‘if she did it’ means the prosecution did a trash job.” NO RESPONSE.

All this case has really taught us is that half the US does not understand how the justice system or mental illness work. And yes that does apply to both sides of the argument.
