@kaungfi: 👉 FOLLOW if you want someone who isn’t afraid to ask questions and give unpopular hot takes in the CC points and miles space- instead of the same glazers who only have a positive spin on everything. A recent Reddit post about BILT got me thinking that we all need this PSA. As of this time, BILT cards are once in a lifetime. You cannot open a second one, even after closing the first. And there is no ability to downgrade or upgrade between the 3 Cards: Blue, Obsidian, and Palladium. Tagging their team, because we would love an update so people can make informed decisions before applying for the BILT card that’s right for them. @Bilt #biltrewards #biltcard
That is a big concern for me as someone looking at getting a bilt card

Bilt is so paranoid about being ‘gamed’ like they were on the 1.0 card, but if someone’s circumstances change and they can’t afford a $500 card, why would you just opt to lose the customer completely? I just don’t understand that company or their customer service. I have Amex, Chase, Citi, C1 cards, no interest in Bilt. Esp them handling my mortgage.

I personally have never gotten BILT because there’s always so much change with them

The one card per lifetime combined with the no product change is incredibly rigid, especially if they want to be seen as the housing payment card and circumstances change over time for cardholders. Been a Bilt fan, but hoping to product change UP to the Palladium after choosing the Blue and feeling left out of some of the perks. Super hoping that this was an AI glitch and that product changes will be available in a few months.

Bilt is being run horribly. Not worth all the headaches and confusion.

To be fair, we are still a ways away from any Bilt 2.0 people being at 12 months.

Wouldn't that actually make it a more elite card if you could only ever have one in your lifetime? I get the frustration with the downgrade, but honestly, a "once you leave, you can't come back" policy wouldn't be a bad thing — especially since so many reward decisions are based on average consumer usage and average card-holder tenure. I got the Palladium card during pre-launch and it's my only card — I use it daily. The points I've built up, especially stacked with things like the Accelerator or Rakuten, have been great. My real gripe is that this card is basically Bilt (😏) for people who live in big cities. The rewards skew heavily toward major metros, so if you're not in a place like Chicago or New York, a lot of the perks and Bilt Cash just go to waste. It'd be great if Bilt offered a way to bank rewards instead of the use-it-or-lose-it monthly structure — and instead of letting Bilt Cash expire at year's end, let us convert it into Bilt points.

I had the original BILT card but didn’t know what 2.0 card I wanted so I didn’t go for it at the time. ….will I not be able to get it eventually?

Got the blue to leverage the Hyatt transfers by paying a 4k mortgage. Found out that my financial institution play with Plaid (not yet). No product change. Feels like a back burner card in the wallet. Should’ve held off a few more months to not hit the 5/24. CSP is the next move—hopefully they bring back the bigger welcome offer.

It’s why everyone should get the palladium to get the gold status and the 50k points

So I have the venture X card currently as much catch all card but would like to get something more dining/gas related. Do you recommend going for the csp or the Amex gold ? I got pre approved for the csp but haven’t applied yet

If someone gets approved for Palladium today, are they actually stuck paying that $495 fee forever unless they cancel bilt entirely?

Has anyone actually tested closing their account and seeing if cardless hard-blocks a fresh bilt application 60 days later like their standard terms say?

This is precisely why I haven’t jumped on this card yet. The points you can accumulate are great but the customer service seems horrible. I want answers before I jump in.

careless customer service is abysmal. My mom opened an account and before the card even arrived they had already frozen her account for non payment of rent even though the card was in transit smh

I was hesitant picking between Obsidian and Blue, but seeing how cardless handles product changes made me just start with the lowest bilt option.
