@bonniedilber: I don't think remote companies are going to be posting jobs for much longer. Instead they'll use networks, conferences, referrals, and sourcing to find the best people. I'll do a part 2 with tips for navigating this soon! #jobsearch #futureofwork #recruitment #hiring #CareerTipsTikTokContest
Agreed ! I got a new job and it was because someone from my old company was there and they asked them about me. Your ex coworkers are your biggest advocate. They want known variables and your old coworkers you can vouch for are becoming the best pool.

Very true! This is why it’s so important to have your own personal brand on LinkedIn.

Is it possible to make most jobs sound transferable? Trying to make a career change from public relations to recruiting

One caveat being senior strategic hires or C level roles. Those are rarely posted. We just hired someone for a super senior 7 figure role and that job was never posted

I just got a job because I knew a guy was retiring and I spoke up quickly. They posted the job after my interviews but pretty much knew I’d be the person hired. I will say it seems odd that recruiters would be willing to go to conferences to find candidates but are not willing to go through some resumes to weed out the bots
