A student approached Charlie with a surprisingly simple question: what does he think about Trump changing names like the Gulf of Mexico and Mount Denali? Charlie said he was generally sympathetic to it, but the conversation quickly became much bigger than Trump. His argument was that names historically carried meaning. He brought up biblical names like Abraham, Moses, and Jacob to explain how names could reflect a person’s story, identity, or origin. The student listened, challenged him respectfully, and the conversation ended without screaming, insults, or somebody desperately trying to manufacture a “gotcha.” It started with the Gulf of America and somehow became a discussion about whether names should actually mean something. 🤝 #charliekirk #campusdebate #trump #gullofamerica #History
