I had a best friend all of middle school, we were like sisters my mom would take her back to school shopping for clothes and take her on family vacation with us. She practically lived with us. I loved her like a sister. It wasn’t until years later I found out she was the one who set me up to be jumped by 5 high schoolers and made up horrible stories about me and my family. Idk why she hated me so much but I never made friends after that even to adulthood. That was traumatizing.

I was "funny goofy" haha make fun of myself but I started noticing some of my friends would just make fun of me like I made fun of myself and I don't know I thought that was weird. I would noticeably get annoyed when they said that and it slowed down but I don't know. I think that's weird 🤔

I had a girl pretend to like me. I asked her to go out, she agreed. I met her as a customer as I was working. We were both in our 20’s, she showed up for our date early in the store after hours and I was confused. Then she and the assistant store manager started laughing and calling me dumb because I got “played” she was dating the friend of my ASM. I felt embarrassed and never trusted people again.

Someone made a website called “how not to be a *insert my name*” and I remember crying and my mom finding out. The reason why the girl who made it…because she thought I was “too much of a princess”. I was always very kind as a person, but I also grew up admittedly spoiled. Not in a bad way, but my parents provided a lot. I got to go abroad, I always had the newest clothes and electronics. And I was kinda airheaded too so I always asked for help when I couldn’t figure something out. And I guess this bothered her. I admit I wasn’t smart and always needed help but I also tried my best to pay attention so I wouldn’t have to ask a second time. But it was cruel of her to make that website when she could’ve just saved her own peace and stopped hanging out with me if she didn’t like me.

i had a bff too. ...were we best friends for 7 years from highschool all through college only to find out she was so toxic she was basically my friend only because guys liked hanging out with me caz i am a bit dorky and honest they say ....i was defended her and loved her only to find out she used to tell them that i copied her to make ppl like me ... i remember crying so much for wasting those years on this person and the fact that most ppl left me because of her ... i tried to reconnect with everyone ahe pushed away from me and they all told me she was toxic and they couldnt stay around me because of her i was hurt and angry and still is to be honest becasue even after breaking up our friendship she still talks about me to ppl

Girl I'm so sorry. Kids at that age were despicable. I had a group of friends that always asked me for advice on how to tell a friend (named ashley) that they didn't want to be friends with her anymore. I proceeded to give them advice for weeks, only for them to tell me that "Ashley" was me. They wanted my advice on how to get rid of me.

first year of middle school my entire soccer team (consisting of girls i considered my only friends grown up w + highschoolers) isolated me. they refused to call me by my name. one group called me “it”. another called me “cheater”. my childhood best friend ridiculed me and called me a “lesbian” anytime i tried to fit in with her and others. the only group of friends i had ever known made fun of me every single day, and i was so terrified of loosing them i just laughed alongside with them.
