What is happening in The Gambia is so heartbreaking, and hearing what happened to your loved one brought back the pain of what happened to our mother. The same thing happened to my mother after her operation. We were told there was no electricity, and the oxygen gas she needed had finished. She couldn’t make it, and we lost her. That pain has never left me. I cannot cry about it on the internet because some people may misunderstand my grief, but only God knows the pain in my heart. Please don’t lose faith. I am so sorry to hear the passing of your mother. May Allah SWT grant her Aljanatul Firdaws. may Allah help you heal and bless you and your family. That being said, I just want to say that every doctor waking up, going to a theatre to help a patient, has only one intention and that is to save the life of their patient. Being a medical doctor is one of the riskiest jobs and each one them have immense knowledge of the weight on their shoulders. Yes, someone with high blood pressure can still be operated on depending on the level of the blood pressure and doctors always try to stabilise or lower the blood pressure before performing the surgery. Like with all surgeries, there always risks and chances of something happening. I only hope and pray this doesn't repeat itself. May Allah help us all my sister. take heart
