Sappiate che risvegliarsi dal sonno equivale alla nascita e l’addormentarsi equivale alla morte. Quando vi svegliate ogni mattina pregate così: “Oh Signore, sono nato ora dal grembo del sonno. Sono determinato a compiere tutte le mie mansioni come offerte rese a Te, tenendo Te sempre presente davanti agli occhi della mente. Rendi le mie parole, le mie azioni ed i miei pensieri sacri e puri, fa che io non arrechi dolore a nessuno e che nessuno lo arrechi a me; dirigimi e guidami in questo giorno.” E quando la sera arrivate alle soglie del sonno, pregate in questo modo: “Oh Signore, i compiti di questa giornata, il cui fardello ho offerto a Te questa mattina, sono terminati. Sei stato Tu a far sì che io camminassi, parlassi, pensassi ed agissi; depongo, quindi, ai Tuoi Piedi ogni mia parola, pensiero ed azione. Il mio compito è stato assolto. Accoglimi, sto ritornando a Te.” Adottate queste frasi come preghiere quotidiane. La cosa migliore è avere il proprio Sé come fonte di luce, come Guru. L’intelligenza interiore, ossia il Guru interiore rivelerà la Verità. When you wake up every morning, pray thus: “O Lord, I am now born from the womb of sleep. I am determined to perform all my duties as offerings made to You, keeping You ever present before my mind's eye. Make my words, actions and thoughts sacred and pure, let me bring no pain to anyone and let no one bring pain to me; direct and guide me this day.” And when you reach the threshold of sleep in the evening, pray this: "Oh Lord, the tasks of this day, the burden of which I offered to You this morning, are finished. It was You who made me walk, speak, think, and act; therefore, I lay at Your Feet every word, thought, and deed. My task has been fulfilled. Receive me, I am returning to You." Adopt these phrases as your daily prayers. The best thing is to have your own Self as a source of light, as your Guru. The inner intelligence, that is, the inner Guru, will reveal the Truth.
