It’s amusing how this is reduced to simply being about the “smell of the food.” It’s actually about something far more basic: having enough awareness to respect the people around you and understand that not every place or situation is appropriate for indulging your own preferences. Unfortunately, consideration for others seems to be an optional concept for some people. The sheer selfishness of such behaviour speaks volumes — apparently, as long as they’re comfortable and satisfied, everyone else can simply deal with it. And then they wonder why their behaviour is met with irritation, resentment and, ultimately, very little respect. Perhaps a little self-awareness would be more useful than pretending everyone else is the problem.

We are expected to behave conforming to social norms. The problem is those social norms are less about manners and etiquette and more in tune with the western lifestyle.

I do get the opinion and I personally wouldn’t complain about it. However, controversial opinion i don’t think food with strong smells should be taken to small spaces. It doesn’t mean that’s just south asian food, it could be anything for example ‘fish’ let’s just say - it doesn’t mean I don’t like the food it just means I don’t want to smell that and I think that’s okay. When you go to a restaurant, that is a place of food so would be silly to think about the smell - but small spaces, ie. Office kitchens, aircraft’s or smaller spaces isn’t the one 😩 -m

you like it .but it stinks for any one else . when you have food in restaurants it's fresh. but when you have currys that's stored in containers it stinks

I can understand what you mean. But it’s your food our food. But others may not want the strong smell in a confined space. And it’s not normal like bring food for 30 people on planes. I personally definitely would not want to smell other type of food on plane either. We love our food but definitely can’t handle the smell in small place closed space.

I agree with a couple of the comments. This is kind of a silly video. Like who wants to smell of any kind of food?? That’s why we have extractor fans, we open a window when we cook, we have fragranced laundry detergent, we wear perfume
