The pure rage I feel towards people who voted for this is unbearable.

Seems like a political strategy of trying to hold back everything until after the mid terms so that they can blame the consequences on the Dems if they win. Good strategy for people who don’t investigate or critically examine anything. Works well

Speaking of seasons… can you talk about what this winner will look like in gas prices? Apparently, this El Niño thing is going to cause a crazy winter in certain parts of the country. How do you think it really cold winter will affect gas prices in an energy market that’s already crazy right now?

I've been watching the diesel price with more interest than that of gasoline for a long time.
Because, not only does a rising diesel price express as inflation, you get to a point where price adjustments reach a limit (consumption liquidity stretches thin), resulting in real constraints on business activity and economic growth.
Diesel fuel is critical to the REAL economy - making things, shipping things, excavating, building, all that. It is not so important to the only kind of business the President knows and loves: economic rents, financializations, asset trading, borrowing, hypothecating. Plus, he doesn't fully understand that the US is not self-sufficient in the heavier grades used for blending down the light sweet oils America is strong in producing.
So a diesel crunch is a bad thing for a struggling US "real economy".

Diesel moves goods and economies, gas doesn't. Diesel costs more and the goods it hauls will also cost more.

Maybe Trump can import a bunch of diesel and drop it on the market and drive the price down, like he strategically did ground beef! 🤣

I wanted to ship two little jars of homemade seasoned salt to my son. They wanted $37. No rush. Destination just under two hours away. I called him and said he’d have to wait until one or the other of us visited in person to get it.
