@eyedropshop: This is something I hear all the time, and the answer isn't always what people expect. •0 Believe it or not, excessive tearing can sometimes be associated with dry eye disease. When the eyes become irritated or the tear film becomes unstable, the eyes may respond by producing a large amount of reflex tears. The problem is that these tears often don't provide lasting relief. Watery eyes can also be associated with allergies, blepharitis, melbomian gland me: dystunction (MGD), blocked tear ducts, irritation, inflammation/ contact lense crazy" 0 problems, and several other conditions. That's why it's important not to assume you know the cause. Two people can have the exact same symptom but need completely different management approaches. If your eyes have been watering constantly, an eye examination can help determine what's going on. #WateryEyes #DryEye #EyeHealth #dryeyes #eyedrops @Dr. C | Optometrist 🧿
