BE LIKE POLAND 🇵🇱 Living under communism meant silence, scarcity, and fear - until a promise of freedom arrived from across the ocean. I was invited to the United States, arrived with my passport, and now I stand here to thank the leaders who made that freedom possible. When I grew up behind the Iron Curtain, the names Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II were more than headlines; they were symbols of hope that helped liberate Poland. Their courage, paired with the steadfast support of American Republicans, gave my homeland a chance to breathe again. Being in the U.S. today isn't just a visit; it's my personal tribute to those who fought for liberty. I carry my passport not just as a travel document, but as a reminder of the journey from oppression to opportunity. It reminds me why I'm grateful to be here. Looking back, the years under communist rule taught me the true value of liberty; each day reminded me of what was missing, and hope for change kept spirits alive. Now, standing in the United States, I feel a deep responsibility to honor those who made that change possible. My passport is more than a travel document; it symbolizes the journey from a life constrained by ideology to one where I can speak, travel, and express gratitude openly. Holding it reinforces that freedom is worth defending. This experience reinforces my belief that liberty, once earned, must be cherished and protected for future generations. I want to hear from you: What does freedom mean to you? Have you ever felt the weight of oppression lift?
