It’s really hard to imagine that anybody can think the prosecution left no doubt in their case. It makes me think that they’re making their decisions on emotions, and that’s really frustrating

Jury remains hopelessly deadlocked → Judge Sullivan declares a mistrial → Lindsay’s defense renews/pursues a Rule 25 motion → Sullivan determines that the Commonwealth’s evidence was legally insufficient → he orders a finding of NOT GUILTY.

a hung jury is likely the worst possible outcome given the notoriety of this case. Frankly I also think it would be cruel to put everyone involved back on the stand and make Lindsay sit through another 5 weeks of trial.

I was very worried from the start of this case that there would be at least one juror who went in there deciding they were going to convict her no matter what. There’s a shocking amount of people out there who refuse to see mental illness for what it is, and instead think it’s always just a character flaw that someone could choose to just stop if they wanted to. It’s just ableism imo

I just dont understand why she is the found full not guilty. Ive watched the whole trial and i dont see any hard evidence that she killed the kids. Nothing other than Patricks words, and later her own. There is definitely reasonable doubt, and i dont get why more people dont believe that outcome is a possibility.

I really think the jury especially in cases like this shouldn’t have the option to just give up. They should stay deliberating until they all agree whether that’s months or weeks. A mistrial is a joke. Those babies lost their lives and deserve justice.

IMO the system needs to change to “One And Done”. Because everyone is innocent until a prosecutor persuades 12 people of a person’s guilt, a hung jury should mean that the prosecution didn’t do a good enough job and didn’t have enough evidence to prove beyond reasonable doubt, therefore the person is “not guilty”. IMO it’s unjust for prosecution to keep trying and failing until they finally figure out the best way to manipulate the jury into a guilty verdict.
