if you don't have your avoidant in a healthy way, no contact is the best option because you don't actually have them. _ no contact IS a gamble where both results are a win. if it works, maybe they come back ready to make changes. but what if it doesn't work? if it doesn't work you just proved it was never going to get better anyway, and the no contact can help you get over them. _ its a win win - you either get them back better, or you're taking a step to move on. if you stay, nothing changes.
