@emilycarterlife90: 🕯 I spent years being tired in a way that sleep did not fix. Not dramatic tired. The ordinary kind. Stairs felt longer. I read the same page twice. I was cold in rooms where nobody else was cold. Everyone I saw about it was kind, and not one of them asked me the questions in that video. Those questions are plain. More than four pads in a day. Longer than seven days. Above either of those, what you have been calling your normal turns into information instead. Nobody ever sat me down and said the word normal was doing a lot of work in that sentence. Normal for whom, measured against what, over how long. I had no comparison. You cannot compare this with anyone, so you take the only number you have, which is your own, and you call it the standard. I did not know that. I had a mother who called it a heavy month and a grandmother who called it nothing at all, and between the two of them I inherited a whole vocabulary for not asking. Here is the part I want to say clearly. The tiredness was never the thing to fix. It was the thing doing the reporting. Something further upstream was going on, and my body was sending the only message it had. 🍂 I am not going to tell you what is happening in yours. I would not know, and it is not mine to say. There is a list of ordinary reasons somebody trained can look for, it is longer than most women are ever told, and none of them are a flaw in your character. What I regret is the years, and not the answer at all. I let being tired count as who I was, for a long time, without ever once asking it a question. 🌊 ... If you have been calling it low energy, try calling it a question instead. Then say it out loud, to someone whose job it is to look. ☕
