@jennyjeanfitness_ifbbpro: Before everybody loses their minds over eggs… No, one food does not magically make you gain or lose weight. That is not what I’m saying here. The two sides are shorthand for foods that are generally EASIER or HARDER to fit into a calorie-controlled fat-loss phase based on calories, protein, portions, and preparation. NOTE because I know someone will catch it 😅: I misspoke in the video…potatoes are generally moderate to high on the glycemic index, not low. The actual point of this video still stands, so no, I’m not refilming the whole damn thing over one word. Carry on 👌🏻 Now, back to the point: “LOSE WEIGHT” = generally more protein and/or more food volume for fewer calories, making it easier to stay full and within your calorie target. “GAIN WEIGHT” = generally more calorie-dense or easier to overeat, so portions matter more when fat loss is the goal. Can you lose fat eating whole eggs, avocado, nuts, yogurt, and chicken thighs? Of course. Can you gain weight eating potatoes, egg whites, berries, and chicken breast? Also yes, if you consistently eat more total calories than your body uses. This isn’t healthy versus unhealthy or good food versus bad food. Whole eggs are nutritious; egg whites simply give you more protein for fewer calories. Avocado and nuts have nutritional value; they’re also calorie-dense and easy to overserve. Yogurt depends on the kind and portion. Preparation matters too, chicken breast and chicken thighs cooked in oil aren’t macro-equivalent. Total calories matter. Portions matter. Context matters. THAT is the point. So maybe read the caption before starting a federal investigation into my eggs. 😂💙 Comment PROTEIN and I’ll send you my free Protein Guide with the high-protein, lower-calorie foods and snacks I recommend to clients.

Just an FYI I eat 5 to 7 whole eggs a day and I’ve lost 67 pounds since March 19. So your assessment of eggs not for fat loss is wrong at least for me.
