unironically though, yeah absolutely healthcare and neurodevelopmental conditions are societally and culturally influenced. even things like nightmares and hallucinations are culturally dependent! it gets ignored way too much and leads to worse patient outcomes. it also doesn't help most research requires and assumes a "neutral" base of otherwise healthy white adult cis man. it removes all context and intersectionality from academic understanding of conditions

Oh thank god. I was afraid I was autistic but now it seems I was misdiagnosed as Caucasian at birth 😂

the more I think about the more I think "the spectrum" just runs from east to west... Asian culture is very "neurodivergent" based while west (especially usa) is more neurotypical with Europe somewhere in the middle

This is because disability is a social construct. It can change depending on culture. Autism isn't a disability in all cultures either and may not be identified as such, but it still doesn't mean it's not a different neurotype or way of experiencing the world. Just may not disable them in cultures that do not disapprove of the traits.
