my abuser held me hostage at a hotel for a week abused me beat me Sa me eveyday I would have to go into work ( I had a job where I worked almsot always by myself I opned and closed the store myself and only worked with another person 3 days a week and on the days I worked with another person he would wait until she left to come in bevasue she left earlier then I did whe. we worked together ) I had to function like nothing was wrong after hours of horrible abuse I wojdl work a 8-9 hour shift sometimes 10-12 hour shift because I didnt get to compele waht I needed to beavsue henwoudl always find ways to interrupt or get in the way on purpose so I would work all day and then go back to the motel we were at that I had to pay for becasue we were homless because of him ( long story ) and he held me prisoner for a week torcherd me one day he was beating me me so.bad I was screaming and fighting back i was so loud l the kkicking the windows doing everything I could to make noise hoping that somebody would hear me hoping that somebody would would come save me and because of that the front office called our room when he picked up that phone and it only because of that he was distracted I was able to get free oh something important I haven't mentioned yet during all this it wasn't just us two I also had a 10 month old baby that was with us for all of it so when he picked up that phone you took the opportunity to escape grabbed my car keys my baby and I jumped out the window he is barricaded the front door but I escaped he ended up getting arrested after my boss found out because I couldn't hide that way my face was with makeup it was just too obvious and when I went into work my boss had just happened to be there and when he seen he called the cops they arrested him but he got less than a year that was the first time that was the first the abuse the first incident one of dozens not once has he done more than 250 days he had charges of kidnapping holding me hostage domestic violence on a spouse or significant other so many different charges they dropped them off gave him less than a year our system is screwed crazy but I'm so I'm proud of you you're so strong

I hope you get the justice you deserve!! I am so sorry that happened to you. I regretfully did not get justice. My abuser was charged with a large list including holding me hostage, physical, sexual abuse, trying to kill the baby I was pregnant with, amongst many others. They actually pled him down to one single physical assault charge and he did 6 months (concurrent with an old warrant). That's it. Got out and did it again. Did only 3 more months after that. Justice it was not. (Ontario, Canada)
